With a decade of experience running and supporting children's enrichment activities, we aim to provide some valuable insights here for you.
A few personal experiences from the last week gave me pause for thought, and had me step back from my usual topic of music and dance studio management software and websites to look at the bigger picture.
In a recent dance studio management software blog, I suggested that you defer hiring office staff, even as your studio grows.
As your dance school or dance studio grows, you eventually realize that you need help with management and administration. You could hire someone, but that is a big step you should defer as long as you can (more on this in an upcoming blog).
So you have a beautiful dance or music studio website, and now all you need is visitors. You have set up your pages for the search engines, but still the traffic is disappointing, so you need to give it a boost.
As a dance studio owner, your strength is likely to be in those "right brain" areas that drew you to the arts, and to teaching in the first place. But you also know that a website is a critical piece of your success in attracting students.
It stands to reason that improving dance studio enrollment is always a top priority for successful studios.
So how do the best studios keep those classes full?
Last week I took a look at the question of when dance and music studio customers want to enroll. It turned out that about 17% of them, given the option to register online, do so at the weekend when your music or dance studio probably has no phone coverage.
One of the big advantages of Online Registration for music or dance studios is that it lets the customer decide when they want to sign up.
Re-enrollment is the most important metric for the success of most dance or music studios.
As a dance studio owner, the chances are that you are a dancer first, and a business manager second - or third, fourth... :-)
